Hello and welcome to our Manufacturing Essentials TBL course. We wanted to provide you with some important information prior to the start of class.
Overview
This course is funded in part by a grant provided by the US Department of Labor. Our grant, called the Engineering Technology and Advanced Manufacturing (ETAM) grant, has funded the large portion of student tuition to make this course affordable to you.
During this course you will have the chance to pass four exams leading to a nationally-recognized certification, the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s (MSSC’s) CPT. That certification is portable, and recognized by employers throughout the United States that you are learned in the basics of advanced manufacturing. Further, at 10 different colleges throughout Florida, you can use the certification to articulate up to 15 credit hours towards your AS degree in Engineering Technology.
Class Times
Our class meets from 5:30 to 9:30p every Monday and Thursday, excluding holidays.
However, on Monday, Sept. 19, students are to report to their assigned training rooms at 5:00 p.m., to give all students time to sign into the webinar, in addition to completing registration forms and paying for the class. Please be prepared to pay $150 the first night of class, via either check or credit card. To avoid loss of grant dollars, if you are not able to pay the first night of class, we will not be able to provide you with text books, although you may attend the lecture.
The instructional team will have a finalized syllabus available for you soon.
